The opening of Victor Vasiukevich’s personal art exhibition “Colormusic” took place on April, 9 at art gallery “Vilnius” in Minsk.

His abstract canvases are saturated with very powerful energy. These unusual paintings amuse and charge, suck you in and turn your head. His exposition makes you feel as you’ve fallen in some kind of trance or hypnosis.

Overall, “Colormusic” is aimed to represent the artist’s works as broad as possible. The main part of the exposition contains 33 artworks that have been created by Victor Vasiukevich in the last 3 years. His recent style is hard to relate to any particular trend in art – his manner can be described as abstract expressionism, esoteric art or New Age art, but Victor Vasiukevich himself refers to his approach as "materialized music".

Also on display are Victor’s figurative works, landscapes, created in realistic manner, still-lifes, portraits, watercolors and experimental graphics, which are intended to develop abstract way of thinking.

The opening of the exhibition was followed by the performances of a dramatic troupe“Mimoza” and a musician Alexei Krechet (guitar).

The exhibition is on display through May 19, 2009.
