Tatiana Grinevich widely expresses feminine and emotional beginning of her art in her own unique way. Her inpidual manner of painting differs by its plastics and softness of lines, colorful harmony and naturalness of light. Canvasses she creates in traditional oil painting technique lack consistency and substantiality, so common for these media. Her works have such transparency and lightness as if the main universal elements - air and water, are not used only as symbols but rather as one of the artist’s tools during the creation of a painting.
Tatiana’s emotional and perceptional experience and memory that stores the reflections of things and events are the main sources of inspiration. And such an inspiration is truly the embodiment of her concept of intuitive perception of the world.
Some Tatiana Grinevich’s quotations:
- “Painting allows me to express the depth and complexity of an emotional experience. It lets me reveal lights and darks of a painting, which play the main part in image transfer - kind of an unspoken symbolism without precise constructability. Since Rembrandt the lights and darks have become a lead to another reality - full of ambiguous sense. And it has reflected another invisible part of existence; it has transferred visual arts to a different level of perception having gotten rid of bare narration”
- “I think a painting could be compared to poetry where the rhyme is created due to metaphors and a play upon meaning, and rhythm sprigs from a line, a spot, from color and light. The image comes out of a feeling, a passing glance and a fleeting impression. These are very simple things and we encounter them every day while not paying much attention, but at one point they gain the importance of Eternity”
