The art of Antonina Slobodchikova is a synergy of various kinds and styles of creative practices ranging from pop art to poetry, from conventional surrealism to collage and mixed media. Her art is ironical, provocative but exquisite. Her pet subjects are love, erotic and entertaining perception of the outside world. She readily and enthusiastically feeds her artworks with texts. Antonina says the following about her preferences in art - "my favorite technique is acrylic, canvas and sticking and gluing various images onto canvases or board. I often mix painting and collages. The result is somewhere in between… And I also enjoy making just collages because it is such a captivating activity one can be engaged in."
